I ordered some Laura Geller products from QVC over the weekend and I received it yesterday! Fast shipping eh? Thanks QVC :)
Now let me show you some swatches!
This palette includes Balance-N-Brighten, a slow-baked powder foundation with corrective pigments that help conceal ruddiness, perk up sallowness, even out blotchiness, and blur away little lines and shadows; Ethereal Rose, a baked radiance powder with marbleized tones of pink and pearl blended together to give your complexion a fresh, dewy glow; and Bronze-N-Brighten, a powder that acts as a bronzer or tawny blush with rich tones of bronze and rose, swirled together, to create a radiant glow on your skin.
I ordered this because it comes not only with my FAVORITE BLUSH OF ALL TIME, the Ethereal Rose (which I've completely used up) but also Laura's best sellers: Balance-N-Brighten and Bronze-N-Brighten! This is a great way to try new products that are packaged in such a convenient palette.
It comes with a small retractable brush too, perfect for travels and gym bags!
Now - some close ups:
Balance-N-Brighten in Fair: this is a foundation but in powder form. You see the different colors that are swirled together? Those are different pigments that are supposed to self correct once it is applied.
Ethereal Rose: Although Laura Geller formulated this as an all over complexion powder, this is my FAVORITE BLUSH OF ALL TIMES! My Holy Grail blush!! I am quite pale so this works well for me as an everyday blush, but for those with normal/darker complexions, this is an all over brightening powder.
Bronze-N-Brighten in Fair: this is a bronzer, again there are different pigments swirled together for a natural warm glow.
A quick swatch on my fingers. I've used it this morning and so far so good :) Laura Geller claims that these baked products start their lives as mousse and then are baked for 24 hours - the result? A creamy consistency but in powder form. Sounds nifty right? I can see what she means by "creamy", I've only used it once and I do agree that these don't make me look powdery. I'll have more to say after I use it a bit more :)
An Italian-inspired collection for the face, eyes, and lips.
The Baked Blush-n-Highlighter combines Como, a softly shimmered blush that blends shades of pink and peach for a warm, natural, radiant glow; and Portofino, a subtly luminescent shade that highlights your cheekbones and draws attention to your eyes.
Influenced by the warmth of the Tuscan sun, the Baked Eye Shadow Duo pairs Rome, a beautifully warm, golden beige shade, with Milan, a spectacular deep aubergine shade. Together, these opulent colors truly make eyes pop!
Shine-n-Shield SPF Lip Gloss in Fresco Berry provides high coverage with natural, ultra-conditioning antioxidants and a blend of vitamin E, cocoa seed butter, and pomegranate extract to help soften and moisturize lips. Plus, it helps shield against sun damage with added SPF 15.
I ordered this collection because I really wanted to try the Blush-N-Highlighter in Como, I am a big fan of soft brushes and lip products with SPF, and the shadow just looks so gorgeous so I had to get this kit =p As you can see, this kit comes in a clear pouch, which I adore since I don't have cosmetic pouches that are transparent, this will make it very easy for me to find what I want :)
Blush-N-Highlighter in Como: This is a soft blush with a highlighter. I love that the highlighter is baked in the same pan, how convenient! Como is I think a warmer version of the Ethereal Rose.
Baked Eye Shadow Duo in Rome and Milan: These can be applied wet and dry, and they look so pretty!!! Love the golden sheen and the shimmery purplish color! Can't wait to wear this in my next look =p
Shine-n-Shield SPF Lip Gloss in Fresco Berry: Yay SPF 15!!! I am on a quest to ONLY wear lip products with SPF in it! This lip gloss is very moisturizing and LOVE the SPF!
And guess what - I got a free lipstick with my order!
Lipstick in Creme Nude: this one came for free with my order :) No swatches because I am thinking of giving this away since I NEVER wear lipstick =p
And that's it! My Laura Geller haul + swatches :) Hope you enjoyed it!
