I've previously shared with you what base makeup I use on a daily basis in My Everyday Look - Complexion - Acne Scars Edition in July, it's been 3 months now and I am still following the SAME EXACT routine and still using the same products so I wanted to write about this again - plus the rest of my daily makeup routine.
So this is me without any makeup on, I have plenty of acne scars which I absolutely must conceal! I never ever leave my house leaving my scars exposed =p Here's another before picture:
This cheek isn't as scarred but there are still minor ones that need to be concealed.
First I apply BB cream because BB cream are fantastic primers, especially for acne prone skin because they do so well with pores and can really smooth out the skin. I concentrate on priming the nose and cheeks because that's where I need the most coverage.
Now I can proceed to the actual concealing. I use the Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage Brush to apply Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage in SC2 on my darker scars. I try hard to "color within the lines" and only conceal the spots that are discolored.
Next I use the Sonia Kashuk Blending Brush to apply Mineral Essence Foundation in L2 over the concealer to set it. I don't apply this all over my face because I want my base makeup to look as sheer as possible.
Next I use the Laura Mercier Blending Brush to apply Laura Geller Balance-n-Brighten in Fair all over my face. Laura Geller Balance-N-Brighten is the perfect setting powder, it really gives me a perfect complexion - glowey, dewy, and non powdery!
So that's it for my base makeup.
Next I use Laura Geller Bronze-n-Brighten in Fair to contour,
and Laura Geller Ethereal Rose on my cheeks.
Next I curl my lashes with Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler.
I use Billion Dollar Brow Gel to tame my brows.
For lips I use Philosophy Kiss Me SPF 20.
And done! This is what I do on weekdays for work. No eye makeup because I am just not motivated enough to wake up earlier for it =p
