[FOTD] Sephora's Glitz & Glam Collection

I have been really liking the Tarte Natural Cheek Stain in Glam, and I like to put it on my cheeks before doing  the rest of the makeup.

There are different ways to apply this cheek stain; you can use a sponge, brush, or fingers, but I like to dab it on directly.

Now onto the eyes.  First I applied the cream shadow end of Tarte Lock n Roll 12-Hour Eye shadow in Bronze all over the lid, and then lightly blended it out with my finger.

Next I applied the loose shadow on the other end of the wand over the cream shadow.

Next I applied Mac Fluidline in Blitz & Glitz to line my upper lashline.

Benefit Cosmetics BADgal Liner Waterproof
and I used Benefit BADgal Liner Waterproof to tightline.

For my lower lashline, I used Sephora Collection Electro Eyeliner in Copper.  Next I curled my lashes and applied Peter Thomas Roth Lashes to die For mascara.

Now that the eyes are finished, I like to apply the Tarte Natural Cheek Stain again to add a bit more color to the cheeks.  The cheek stain is pretty sheer and I like to apply it in multiple layers.

To set the blush I decided to try the Tarina Tarantino Sparklicity Pure, which turned out to be too sparkley on the cheeks, especially for day time.  In pictures however it actually looks ok, but in person it is definitely too much for the day.  At night though I think it'll be ok.

For lips I used Tarina Tarantino Gem Gloss in Disco Nap.

Done!!  Here's the final look:

You see how well the Tarina Tarantino Sparklicity Pure shows up even in picture?  Yes here it looks very dewy and glowy but in person it's bit too much...

Are you wondering if the Tarte Lock n Roll 12-Hour Eye shadow really can last 12 hours?  Well.... no it doesn't, see how much it creased?
This was probably after 6 hours or so. I really really wanted to like the Tarte Lock n Roll 12-Hour Eye shadow but I am quite disappointed that it creases so much.  I had even primed my lids with Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Sin before hand!  Maybe I applied it wrong....?  I'm not sure, but I'll give it another try before I completely trash it =p

It's a shame the eye shadow creased-- this look is otherwise completely gorgeous and one of my favorites of yours!! :) I really like the blush combo, too.
