So last week I posted my HOLY GRAIL products of 2010, but of course afterwards I realized that I left out quite a few other items that I have been using religiously this year.  So here it is:

Scrub: Cure Natural Aqua Gel

This is probably the best scrub that I've used, it is very gentle on the skin, and you can literally see your dead skin cells being scrubbed away, they look like white flakes.  I've actually tested this product to see if there are always white flakes, but if I use it two times in a row, I never see the white flakes the second time around so I know that this really works.  For more details, see Fancies: Cure Natural Aqua Gel.

Perfume: Philosophy Amazing Grace

This is the first fragrance that I have truly loved.  I have used up multiple bottles and have yet to get tired of this scent.  I just love how clean and yet feminine this smells.  It smells clean but doesn't smell like soap.  I get a lot of complements on it too!  Absolutely love this!

My friend Frances and I have been trying to get our hair trimmed for about a month now, today we finally were able to find the time to go together.  Since we had dim sum at Fu Lam Mum in Mountain View, I suggested we head over to Imagine Hair Salon that's just a block away.

I'm not sure why Imagine Hair Salon has such bad ratings on Yelp but both Frances and I had a good experience there!  This is Winnie who helped Frances and my stylist was Helen who I think is the manager/owner of this place.  The reviews on Yelp, at least the first page, did not mention Helen nor Winnie so perhaps they are new there?  Not sure...  Anyway, here's what the salon looks like:

It is past midnight, Christmas is over!  How did you spend your day today?  I stayed home the whole day and had yummy Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot in San Mateo tonight.  As for my Face of the Day, I tried EricaWeng's Snow Makeup.  Erica is a Chinese makeup guru, she has a very beautiful voice and I love listening to her!

2010 is coming to an end and I thought it'd be a good idea to share with you the products that I swear by that I have been using for the entire year!  Some of these products are my all time favorites and some I have discovered this year.

Face wash: Philosophy Purity Made Simple

I remember I started using this when I was in college, and I have used up at least 2 big bottles of it when I was in college.  I also remember raving to my friends about it and I remember going to Sephora only to buy this one thing when I ran out.  It is what they say, the Philosophy Purity Made Simple cleans, conditions, and doesn't make your skin feel dry.  I stopped using this cleanser after 2 bottles because I wanted to experiment and see what else is out there.  But this year, I started to miss it, and I think it means a lot when I actually miss a particular product.  So I came back to my long lost love - the Philosophy Purity Made Simple - this year and it is just as good as I remembered.  If you haven't tried it yet, I'd really recommend that you give this a try.

Toner: Kiehls Calendula Herbal Extract Alcohol-Free Toner

This is also a product that I started using in college, moved away from it for some time and started to miss it, and came back to it this year.  You might remember when I repurchased it in super size back in Aug.  I think this is a really good toner for normal-oily skin.

Skincare: Josie Maran Argan Oil

Sunscreen: L'oreal UV Perfect SPF 50 PA+++

[FOTD] Revlon Colorstay 12 Hour Eye Shadow in Sultry Smoke

Today as I sat at my vanity trying to figure out what makeup to put on, I opened my eyeshadow drawer and saw my Revlon Colorstay 12 Hour Eye Shadow in Sultry Smoke that I haven't used yet.  I bought this awhile ago and completely forgot about it!  =p  I think it's a good choice for today as the grey somewhat matches the wet and cold weather outside.  This is also the first Revlon eyeshadow that I purchased!

[Beauty Tips] I learned from @cl2425 that Lower lashes can be curled too!

One of the biggest issues that we Asians face is the lack of long and thick lashes. I know I definitely have this problem, especially my lower lashes, and mascara doesn't really help. Take a look at my eyes in my [FOTD] Sephora's Glitz & Glam Collection:

As you can see, even with mascara on, my lower lashes are still pretty much invisible.

Did you always know you wanted to become a news anchor? 

I’ve always wanted to be a journalist, but somehow I came across the opportunity of becoming an anchor. The job is really not as glamorous as it seems, and you really need to have the passion to do it well. I feel lucky that I’m feeling comfortable with the job, and I do like my job a lot. Being a news anchor could be challenging (still is to me even though I’ve been doing this for nearly 10 years….), but it’s a job that helps you grow stronger in all aspects.
