[Invisalign] Tray 1!

Today I started my Invisalign!  Remember couple of months ago I had X-rays, Photos, and Impressions taken?  Afterwards my trays were made based on my 3D treatment plan.  I was told to take vitamin C and calcium during the treatment as written on the box.

Today I received my box of aligners, all 22 of them!  Each aligner is supposed to be worn for about 2 weeks.

The aligners are placed in pouches like this, and here's what my first set looks like:

Putting on the top aligner for the very first time.  It was a bit tight and I needed to really push it in.

They are really fitted....

Putting on the bottom aligner.

Both top and bottom aligners are on!  Very attractive I know >.<

And yes, they are pretty much invisible, especially in photos.  Oh and no makeup on!  I feel naked =p

My initial reactions:  The aligners are really fitted (kind of like skinny jeans LOL), and I needed to really push them onto my teeth.  Currently they feel very tight but not THAT painful yet given that I've only worn them for 1 hour.  I've already taken Advil beforehand to prepare for the worst =p  I am starting to think that this is probably what dogs feel when we put clothes on them - that there's something stuck there and you just want to yank them off =p  Also, I am supposed to eat and sleep with these aligners on.  Eating will be very tricky, they don't feel very comfortable as I try to bite.... hmm....

Why are you eating with them in?? I was told never to eat/drink with them in.(Along with many others I've talked to) I take mine out before eating, eat, the floss and brush and put them back in. Never heard of having to keep them in while eating...

Very interesting!! Well I wish you luck on your journey!! I'm currently on trays 6/26 for the top and 6/12 for the bottom!! Maybe ask your dentist about it. I was told that eating or drinking with them in can cause cavities cause it traps the food and liquids between your teeth and the aligners....

ya so i was told to brush/floss and wash the aligners everytime after i eat/snack which just means no more snacking for me, too much work.
