How was your Halloween? What did you dress up as? I had a school girl costume that looked very anime so I decided to try an anime inspired look. By the way, I got a pretty good deal on the costume, it was only $20 and it came with the dress, head band, sleeves, and garters.
Let's start:
First I applied Vincent Longo Wet Dry Diamond Eyeshadow Libertango all over the lid, and Lancome Color Design Sensational Effects Eye Shadow Smooth Hold in The New Black (Metallic) in the crease.
For my upper lashline, I used tarte emphasEYES Waterproof Clay Shadow - Linerpot, Black, with a little wing. But If I were to do this look again I wouldn't go for the wing, I'd drag it straight down for a rounder look. For tightlining I used Mally Beauty Evercolor Automatic Waterproof Eyeliner in Onyx the Blackest Black.
Sorry about the hair in these pictures, I had my bangs up on a roller like this:
Anyway, continuing on:
Now for the funner part. I used a white eyeliner to line my lower waterline. and used the same tarte emphasEYES Waterproof Clay Shadow - Linerpot, Black for the lower lashline which I extended out to match the wing. Next I used the white eyeliner and filled in the area between the 2 eyeliners. Lastly I applied white eyeshadow to the inner corner and the lower lashline. The white eyeliner/eyeshadow are used to open up the eyes, to make it look wider, more anime like.
To add the final touch, I applied falsies to the top, and also applied lower falsies. I also used a liquid eyeliner and drew 2 additional lines under my eyes. Anime characters always seem to have some kind of funky and random "lines" near their eyes and cheek area.
This is where I realized I shouldn't have winged out my liner, I wanted my eyes to look rounder and not longer. Next time I'd just draw the eyeliner straight down.
Here's the final look:
The 2 lines under the eyes add a slightly more comical touch to the look.
In case you are wondering, the blush I used was Laura Geller Blush N Brighten Ethereal Rose Sateen Subtle Orchid, isn't it pretty? Love Laura Geller :)
