[Invisalign] Final step: refinements!

About 2 weeks ago I finished my Invisalign trays, got the attachments taken off, and got fillings to make my pointy tooth flat to match the other teeth (see [Invisalign] 95% done, on to refinements).  I had molds taken again to get refinements because 1 tooth is still sticking out a little bit.

Refinements can be made once the Invisalign trays are finished, in case there are minor adjustments needed.  These are the 3d models of what the refinements will do for me - small movements that make a big difference :)

You apply the mask on damp skin (which I find interesting, most masks go on dry skin), wait for about 10 min (which is not bad at all, a lot of masks take 20+ min), and wash off.  Unlike many deep cleansing / acne masks, this one doesn't dry out like clay (which sometimes makes me feel like my skin is about to get pulled off of my face *don't like that feeling at all*).  After washing off the mask I found that my skin looked much brighter, cleaner and yet doesn't feel dry and tight.  As far as curing acne goes, my pimples didn't get worse and they seem to be healing at a pretty good speed :)  Glad I had the chance to try this mask, it's good!

If you have any pesky pimples that stick around, Proactiv's Concealer Plus, a concealer and spot treatment in one, a product that has the same powerful sulfur in the Refining Mask, plus the added benefit of makeup coverage, can *probably* help you achieve a spot-less look.

I however, didn't find this concealer that useful.  I tried it on my chin, by dotting it on...

[Fancies] Hello Kitty Hoodie Scarf with Ears and Paws

I bought a kitty hoodie at the Spirit Halloween store the other day. It seems to resemble a Hello Kitty :) I bought it not only as a costume but also to wear it out on cold windy days :p. It's so cute isn't it?

I am actually in Anaheim right now and it is quite chilly here at night. Good thing I brought my hoodie, freezing my head off wouldn't be very fun at all at Disneyland :p

[Invisalign] 95% done, on to refinements!

I finished all 19 of my trays this week!  Got my attachments removed, and got a filling to turn my pointy tooth into a straight tooth!  Doesn't it look so real?  Love my dentist Dr Habibi at Aesthetics & Essentials Dental Group.  I've had consultations with other dentists and they suggested veneers but Dr Habibi said a filling would do :)

It makes such a big difference now that the tooth is flat.

The only thing I wanted to change is to push back one tooth just a little bit more, I had my impressions and mold taken again to get refinements made.  Other than that, everything else is perfect :)  At least for the time being, before the refinements come in, I don't have to wear Invisalign trays during the day anymore, just need to wear it at night when I go to sleep :)

[FOTD] Frances got married!

I've talked about how I did my makeup for Frances's bachlorette party, how I did my hair for her wedding, how I did my nails, and the qipao that I had altered to wear to her wedding, now let's talk about how I did my makeup.

The look I wanted to go for was what I consider a heavy natural look - heavier than how I do my daytime looks, but not as heavy as a night clubbing look.  I think makeup should be classy with neutral colors when attending someone else's wedding, definitely shouldn't try to steal the bride's thunder LOL.

Now, on to the steps:

I can't quite remember) I received a sample of Incoco Color Manicure: Bling Bling (Glitter) in my Birchbox.  I've seen a lot of Incoco boothes when I went to Vegas couple of weeks ago and wanted to try but there always seemed to be a line so I didn't get a chance to try.  I am actually familiar with these dry nail polish strips as I've tried the ones from Avon before, I can't find them anymore on their website though, maybe they got discontinued??  Anyway, I am a fan of these strips - they are super easy to use, you simply peel off the strips and stick them on your nails and you are done!  No more waiting for polish to dry and no more smudges :)

Halloween is around the corner, what will you dress up as?  I've browsed around for costumes, and ultimately the decision came down to the price.  I never had a thing for school girls but I can't resist the price tag on this one - Sassy Sweet High School Girl Costume for $19.99 (originally at $64)!

Yesterday I went to Frances' wedding whose bachlorette party I went to in Aug.  I knew I wanted to wear the qipao that I had altered, but wasn't sure what hair style would go well with it.  After surfing on Youtube, I finally decided to try x3Haha's Valentine's Day Contest (Sweet Romantic Side Ponytail):

I think it worked out well, I received complements too :)

This style is easy to do and very pretty, you should try it too!

[Frowns] Blinc Mascara

[FOTD] Too Faced "Eye Love" Palette Romantic Eye @ Las Vegas Lion King

Yesterday I mentioned that last weekend when I went to Vegas, we partied at Palms on the first night and Luxor on the second.  Well before we went to Luxor we actually went to watch The Lion King at Mandalay Bay first.  Everything about the show was amazing, the music, the singing, the acting, the elaborate costumes, the staging, everything!

We sat in the first row and was literally just a couple steps away from the conductor.  See that's him doing his thing!  I went in with high expectations since The Lion King is so highly acclaimed, but I walked out exceeding my expectations.  If you haven't seen it yet, you should!!

Last weekend my cousin Elaine and I went to Las Vegas just for fun.  I saw on Yelp that there's this party promoter named Chris who you can contact to get free VIP passes.  I decided to sign up for his service (which is completely free by the way) where the first night we got passes to go to any of the 3 clubs at the Palms: Moon, Playboy Club, and Ghostbar; the second night we partied at Cathouse at Luxor (which I will cover in a later post).  

We didn't know Pauly D from Jersey Shore was going to be there when we went, it was apparently the iheart radio event in Vegas where a lot of celebrities were making appearances at various nightclubs.  Pauly D actually walked right by us when we were about to enter the club, and lemme tell ya, his hair looked just as ridic in real life =p  Oh, and he's not that tall LOL.

Chris's service is great, we didn't have to pay cover, skipped general admissions line, and was able to get free drinks :)  Check them out if you ever visit Vegas!
