I've been toying with the idea of getting straight bangs for a couple of years now. I first thought about it when I was about to start working, but thought I probably shouldn't because straight bangs would give off a more "youthful" look and I didn't want to be associated with "young" at the office. A few years have gone by and after some persuasions, I finally decided to pull the trigger =p
I went to Park Jun's Beauty Lab for the hair cut. It's a Korean salon, the people there don't really speak English, and they have some bilingual staff members who can speak both Korean and Chinese. The lady who cut my hair is Sandy I think. I brought in a picture to show her how I want my bangs to look, which really helped; when in doubt, ALWAYS bring in pictures to show your hair dresser so nothing is lost in translation! They charged me $40 and the service included hair wash, hair cut, scalp treatment, and styling at the end. The scalp treatment is where they put in deep conditioning treatment and steam you for about 15-20 min. Overall, the staff is very nice and polite, but they do lack English communication skills.
So, this is the outcome of my hair cut. What do you think? Do you think it gives off a more youthful look? I am still trying to get used to it, everytime I look in the mirror I still get a little surprised at my new hair, after all, I've had my previous hair for the past 10 years or so =p
