[Fancies] Recharge Medical & Day Spa in San Francisco

For my bf's birthday, I decided to take him for a foot treatment after our self-guided segway tour through Golden Gate Park.  It turned out to be perfect as our feet were sore from the segways.  I picked Recharge Medical & Day Spa because I liked their pictures on Yelp: the stainless steel food baths and intimate setting that's different from most nail salons.

The decor is warm and has a small homely feel:

We both got the 50 min Active Foot Treatment.
The Active Foot Treatment started off with a pretty foot bath with flower petals.  As you can see, they seram wrap the stainless steel for sanitary purposes, you don't have to worry about getting foot fungus here; and since they are a medical day spa they have strict guidelines to ensure that everything is clean and safe.

After the foot bath is the paraffin wax treatment.  They use disposable plastic bags for each person for sanitary purposes.

After the paraffin wax they give you a nice foot and lower leg massage.  They also give you a nice warm  neck aroma pillow during the whole treatment.  The aroma and the heat from the pillow is very relaxing for the neck and back.

Af the end of the treatment is when you get your pedicure.  Danny, who is wonderful by the way, suggested OPI Dating Blue for my toes, which turned out really shiny and pretty.  My pedicurist Ling was probably the most careful and detail oriented pedicurist I've had, she studied every toe and went in to fix every little booboo with a tiny brush at the end.  During the pedicure she also mentioned that they don't reuse anything that can't be sanitized, such as nail filer and the scrubbie.

The treatment is also accompanied with very nice lavender tea.

This is Danny who worked on the birthday boy, Danny is wonderful - we had a very nice chat session with him, and the birthday boy came out relaxed and happy :)

If you are ever in SF, be sure to check out Recharge Medical & Day Spa.
