[FOTD] Tokidoki Arte Palette - Til Death Do Us Part

My friend Marj got me the Tokidoki Arte Palette -Til Death Do Us Part for my birthday.  This palette contains 4 eyeshadows and 1 blush, very convenient for traveling at a very reasonable price too :)  It's been a long time since I've done a Face of the Day post, so let's get started:

First I applied the light pink all over the lid.

Next I lined my upper lashline with Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner, Purple Tang.  It doesn't matter what eyeliner to use here because the eyeliner was simply used as a base before I smudged on the shimmery black eyeshadow.  One thing I did notice is that the shimmers are only at the top layer, the bottom is just the black shadow only.  A lot of companies do this - they make the palette seem all pretty and shimmery but once you start using it you find out the shimmers are just for show only >.<

Next I lined the bottom lashline with the blue eyeshadow.

Done with eyes!  Here I used Bare Escentuals bareMinerals Flawless Definition Volumizing Mascara.

Next I applied blush, which is what I liked the best in this palette.  The color is nice, and the color payoff is good.

Lips I used Laura Geller Lively Lip SPF 15 Brightening Lipgloss in Opal.

This palette, since it is Tokidoki, has very adorable packaging, but Tokidoki is really just a Sephora brand, meaning, the products are Sephora quality as well - very..... mediocre, I'm very inclined to say that Sephora brand (except brushes) are drug store quality at best.  The eyeshadows are not that pigmented and the colors are just ok.  The blush I actually liked though, but it's probably because I prefer blushes to be less pigmented so I don't have to worry about applying it with heavy hands and ending up looking like a clown.  But I do appreciate that these shadows lasted all day without smudges :)
