It occurred to me that I finished my Invisalign almost a month ago and I haven't updated you on it, shame on me >.< Well never late than never, right? Now that I finished my treatment, I am on retainer duty everyday, probably for the rest of my life... The general rule of thumb is for the first year, retainers are to be worn everyday; second year is every other day; third year is every third day and so on. Just like everything else, beauty comes at a price and takes time and effort!
Anyway, remember when I first started Invisalign in the beginning of 2011more than a year ago? Here's what my teeth USED to look like:
I can't believe how crooked my teeth were!! Look at the big difference!
And this is what my teeth looked like at the mid point, it was mostly straightened out already.
And remember at the end of my 19th tray I had fillings to turn my canine tooth into a flat tooth (left picture)? After refinements it didn't make that big of a difference. If you look at the picture on the right, you can see that the tooth in between the front tooth and the canine tooth looks wider now, that's because my dentist again put filling on top of it to make it look wider :)
Here's the view front the front, top picture is what it looks like after refinement and after using fillings to make that tooth look wider, the bottom picture is what it looked like before refinements. While the difference is subtle but the overall feel is much better don't you think?
Overall, I'm 110% satisfied my results and love my dentist Dr Habibi at Aesthetics & Essentials Dental Group :)
