[Sponsored] Easeamine Anti-Aging Skin Care

The Easeamine Skin Care Collection was launched April of this year - developed and patented by renowned scientist James G. Dobson Jr., PhD. while conducting cardiovascular research at University of Massachusetts Medical School. While conducting research on how aging affects heart function, Dr. James G. Dobson, Ph.D., Chairman of the Department of Physiology of the University of Massachusetts Medical School discovered that Adenosine had the ability to increase the production of collagen and elastin, two of the most important proteins in skin responsible for reducingthe appearance of wrinkles that occur with aging.

Adenosine Skin Technology’s unique power is in its ability to stimulate and increase skin protein production and increase cell size. Adenosine Skin Technology helps to restore the skin’s health naturally and decreases the common problems of wrinkling, roughness, dryness, laxity, sallowness, and uneven pigmentation.

The Easeamine Anti-Aging Skin Care includes Cleanser, Toner, Day Crème, Night Crème, and Eye Crème.  I had the chance to try the Easeamine Cleanser and Toner:

I got a compliment on my skin today! (Dr. Jart+ and Laura Geller)

I had lunch today with friends and got a compliment on my skin today so I thought I'd share what I used for my base makeup:

First I used a light layer of Dr. Jart+ Premium Beauty Balm SPF 45 PA+++, mainly on my nose and on my cheeks.  I use some kind of pore covering product, whether it is a primer or bb cream, on my nose every single day as the first step.  Here's the review I wrote last year.

And of course, I used my all time favorite Laura Geller Balance-n-brighten Baked Color Correcting Foundation SPF 15.  After using the Balance-n-Brighten I refuse to use any other powder makeup =p  Here's its review.

Can't wait for the long weekend, it can't come soon enough!

[Fancies] Vichy Normaderm Deep Cleansing Gel

At first I was skeptical of the Vichy Normaderm Deep Cleansing Gel.  I don't normally use cleansers for oily skin because they tend to dry out my combination skin, but this Vichy one doesn't.  It makes my skin feel refreshing, conditioned, soft, comfortable, everything that a cleanser should do :)  It smells good too.  Perfect for the summer now that my skin is getting oilier.  Give it a try!

[Frown] Murad Skin Perfecting Primer Acne & Shine Control

I was really really excited to try the Murad Murad Acne & Shine Control.  It sounds exactly like what I need - it is supposed to hide pores, control oil and shine, help with acne, and prime the face.  It comes out as a tinted formula, however the tint does't show up at all which is means this can be used by everyone.  The consistency feels like a serum, feels more moisturizing than most anti-acne products.

Here's a before and after:

[FOTD] stila classic smoky eye

I am writing about another sample I received in my Birchbox - stila's classic smoky eye trio with KittenDiamond Lil, and Ebony on a nice card with easy to read instructions and samples of the eyeshadows that should be good for 2-3 uses.  I actually own the Kitten, it is probably stila's #1 selling shadow of all time.

First I applied Kitten all over the lid.  As you can see, it is a shimmery beige color, perfect as a base or on its own, it is one of my favorite shadows :)

Next Diamond Lil:

[Fancies] Laura Geller Banish-N-Brighten Concealing Luminizer

If you visit my blog often you'd know that I am a HUGE fan of Laura Geller, yes I am a true Geller Girl. Ever since I tried Laura Geller Balance-n-Brighten SPF 15 I stopped using all other foundations/powders and I started trying Laura's other products - the Laura Geller Banish-n-Brighten Concealing Luminizer Fair/Light was one of them.

This is a lightweight concealer that conceals and luminizes at the same time.  I consider this "lightweight" because this is light coverage, it won't work on those with super dark circles.  I don't normally need heavy under eye coverage so this works well on me.  What I really really like is its luminizing properties, it reflects light very well but it's not shimmery at all.  It also has a very light scent which is very refreshing.  Also, the tip is palladium and feels very cool and soothing on the skin :)

Here are some before and afters:

[Fancies] Cle de Peau Facial Cottons

During Neiman Marcus's last beauty event, I was given samples of Cle de Peau Facial Cottons.  Omigosh, I never knew cotton pads can be so luxurious, no wonder it's from Cle de Peau. When I grow up and become rich and famous, I'd only use Cle de Peau Facial Cottons instead of the ones I get from Costco =p

These cotton pads are super soft like angels!  They don't shred like some.  They literally make me smile when I use them, that's how comfortable my skin feels ^___^ Since I like them so much and I don't have a lot of them from the samples, I've been using half of it at a time, so they run out slower =p

[Fancies] Boscia Green Tea Blotting Linens

I got a sample of Boscia Green Tea Blotting Linens from Birchbox and I really like it!! I've always been an avid user of blotting papers, I use them daily - everyday at around 3pm I blot.  The Boscia Green Tea Blotting Linens are really high quality, and they really do smell like matcha green tea!

The package reads:

  • instantly blot away excess oil and perspiration without disturbing your makeup
  • made from finely woven leaf fibers of the exotic Abaca Tree Plant and infused with one of nature's most powerful antioxidants, Green Tea, to help soothe and freshen your skin
  • ingredients: 100% natural abaca leaf fiber, green tea

The paper is nice and soft but doesn't rip easily; the size is big, probably twice the size of Clean & Clear Instant Oil-Absorbing Sheets :)

[Invisalign] 100% done!

It occurred to me that I finished my Invisalign almost a month ago and I haven't updated you on it, shame on me >.<  Well never late than never, right?  Now that I finished my treatment, I am on retainer duty everyday, probably for the rest of my life... The general rule of thumb is for the first year, retainers are to be worn everyday; second year is every other day; third year is every third day and so on.  Just like everything else, beauty comes at a price and takes time and effort!

Anyway, remember when I first started Invisalign in the beginning of 2011more than a year ago?  Here's what my teeth USED to look like:

[Frowns] Tarte LipSurgence Natural Lip Stain

I received Tarte LipSurgence™ Natural Lip Stain in Joy in my Birchbox last month.  I was very excited to try it because this is one of those products that are often talked about, and I naturally always want to try Tarte products because their products are supposed to be all natural.  Unfortunately, I didn't really like it.  I think Tarte products are always a hit or miss for me, I like the idea of Tarte but many of their products are just.... not as good as other non-natural brands =/  It is probably harder to make good quality products out of natural ingredients.

Anyway, this product is called a lip stain, meaning, it's supposed to stain the lips and last for a long time.  However, this doesn't last for me at all, the staying power is just as brief as a typical lip gloss.  The color goes on very pigmented just like a stain, but unlike a stain, this is a lot more moisturizing which is great.  If only it can live up to its name and last longer I'd actually buy it.

Another failed Tarte product, oh well.
